Shipping Times and Delivery
We strive to ship all orders as soon as possible. Most in-stock orders that have a verified prescription will ship the same day if placed before 2pm EST. The delivery times as indicated on our shipping information page are estimates provided by the respective carriers, and are understood to be the "time in transit" after the package leaves our shipping facility. Total delivery time of your package includes any processing time plus time in transit, and can exceed the estimates listed on our shipping page due to unforeseen issues or events beyond our control. Processing time includes time to verify your prescription if necessary, time for non-stocked items to arrive from the manufacturer and time to sort, pick and pack your order. If the total processing time of your package is expected to exceed 7 days, your online order status will be updated to reflect the extended delay, at which time you will be given the option to wait for or cancel your order. All orders cancelled before shipment are entitled to a full refund of all charges.
Packages will be insured against loss during transit via carrier or private shipment insurance. In the rare event that your package is lost in transit, we will reship or refund your order at our sole discretion. A package is considered lost in transit if there is no delivery confirmation provided by carrier within 14 days of shipment. International shipments (outside USA or Canada) do not qualify for shipment insurance.
Shipping, Handling and Processing Charges
The charges we collect for shipping cover the actual shipping charges imposed by your selected carrier in addition to any handling and processing charges we may incur while fulfilling your order. If your order qualifies for 'free shipping' or discounted shipping, it is understood that the full shipping charges are actually included in the price of the items you purchased from us, and will be adjusted from your refund total should you choose to return any part or portion of your order that entitled you to the 'free' or discounted shipping. Handling and processing charges, if applicable, are separate from any shipping charges and can include items such as packaging material fees, fuel surcharges and processing costs. The total price as indicated on the final page of checkout is inclusive of all these fees.
Origin and Ownership of Goods Shipped
All shipments are F.O.B. Origin, Freight Prepaid. When you select a shipping method and complete the checkout process, we act as an agent between you and your selected carrier to ensure delivery of your package to your address as specified by you. You assume all responsibility of any goods upon pickup by your selected carrier from our shipping facility.
Shipments being delivered outside of the United States or Canada may be subject to customs or duties imposed by the destination country. OptiContacts.com will not be responsible for any charges or delays arising from any issues with customs or clearance, and as such cannot guarantee shipping times for international orders. Please check with your local customs office before placing your order online to see if there are any restrictions or charges when ordering prescription contact lenses or eyeglasses from the US.
